Save the Dates are a great way to get the word out about your engagement and to create excitement and anticipation for your big day! They’re certainly not necessary, but especially important if you’re planning a destination wedding or if your wedding will take place on or around a holiday.
Here are 3 of the most important things you need to remember when sending save the dates:
1. Send them at least 6 months before your wedding date.
2. Address the envelope with the names of exactly who you are inviting so they know ahead of time and there is no confusion later on.
3. Include the wedding location so guests will know if they need to make travel plans and take off work if necessary. (of course you should only send save the dates when your location is booked)
