A Long Distance Love Story

Wedding Details

“Distance means so little when someone means so much!” This quote just about sums up the love story between Kevin and Nicole as their long distance relationship turned into a beautiful wedding. Read their love story below and enjoy their fun wedding photos captured by Timothy Whaley Photography, Illinois Wedding Photographer.

Kevin & Nicole

“Kevin and I first met through a photography blog called ‘Blipfoto’. It was accidental, really, because it isn’t, by any means, a dating website. At the time, Kevin was living in Minneapolis so I took a chance and after only chatting for a few weeks, drove up there from Chicago to meet him. That first weekend we hung out was both amazing and awkward; he lived with his parents and that’s where I stayed while visiting. We shook hands and then hugged awkwardly, but somehow, I knew that I wanted to be with him forever. Unfortunately for me, Kevin hated long distance relationships and basically shot me down despite feeling the same way back. Thankfully he changed his mind! On Christmas Eve, only 4 weeks after knowing each other, he asked me to be his. After 9 months of being together, Kevin proposed at the Bean in Millenium Park in downtown Chicago.”

“Anyway, we had a fantastic evening full of fun. Kevin and I are a super goofy couple (Editor’s note: huh- could of fooled us! 😉 ) and I believe our personalities showed through our wedding photos. We couldn’t thank Timothy Whaley Photography enough for capturing such amazing photos of what was an even more amazing day!!!”

“Our Editorial and Journalistic style REALLY worked well to capture the essence of this couple’s relationship and wedding day story. They were just so much FUN!” – Timothy Whaley Photography, Illinois Wedding Photographer

Both artists and photojournalists, our photographers use a combination of contemporary portraits, typically in color, and “photojournalism”, often in black and white, to “tell your story as it unfolds, portray personalities and capture the emotion that will make your wedding so wonderfully unique.”
