I would highly recommend Steve Keegan as a top rated photojournalist. I had started my search for a local photographer in 2006 for my destination wedding in June Lake, CA in July 2008. I had researched several local photographers and then stumbled upon Steve’s webpage--at that time he was in LA, but his page said he would travel to do northern California areas. What kept me going back to his webpage, was his “Philosophy” section and of course, his fantastic candid shots of weddings. He obviously has an artistic flare. How lucky I was to find Steve. Steve gave me great pleasure with respect to keeping in touch with me periodically by email and phone. When we finally had a chance to meet in person, he showed me some of his work. They were exactly the kind of shots I wanted for my wedding. He listened to our needs and carried them out perfectly. Three months later, after looking at them millions of times, I still get emotional; and to me that is the mark of a great photograph - you never tire of it, and looking at it brings up so many happy memories. He did an awesome job capturing our love for each other. His genuine passion, sense of adventure, and his easy going personality have made Steve a true pleasure to work with. I love my pictures!!!! I HIGHLY recommend Steve Keegan. He was very easy-going throughout the entire process. He acknowledged early on that our wedding day was about my husband and me and he was there to please US. Anyone looking for a photojournalist style photographer should absolutely conisder Steve Keegan. We are thrilled with how our pictures turned out. Steve met with us before the wedding, and showed us numerous examples of his work. Before the wedding he sent e-mails making sure everything was going as planned. On the day of the wedding, he put everyone at ease during the still pictures, and he was in the backround for the rest of the wedding. When I recieved the pictures, I coudn't believe some of the shots he got because I never even noticed him standing there. He was amazing, and I recommend him to everyone I talk to.
