Offline Marketing Strategy – Have you tried coffee shop marketing yet?

While there is so much emphasis being placed on marketing your business online, don’t forget about essential elements for your offline marketing strategy. Research consistently shows that combining the two will lead to much more success than only utilizing one or the other.

Effective marketing is all about marketing one to MANY as opposed to past years approach of marketing one to one in your business. So, even in your offline marketing strategy, I want you to make sure you’re thinking in terms of what will reach the MOST ideal brides for your business effectively.

You need to be where your brides hang out. For my own business, this included boutiques, coffee shops, banks, cafes, other wedding vendors, venues and more! It helps to have a spreadsheet with this information too so that you can also keep your information at these locations continually stocked.

I also suggest that you approach this method in two ways. The first is that if your drop-off locations allow table-top display, there’s no more powerful marketing piece that I’ve found other than a digital brochure. This way, you can showcase hundreds or even thousands of pictures from your portfolio in addition to your marketing copy. Doing this has directly generated me several high-end clients, and one even held onto one of my CD brochures (that she picked up from a SunTrust bank) for two years! I profited over $10,000 with this one bride alone and only spent a few hundred bucks on an entire digital brochure campaign that covered 5 cities. Was it worth it? I think so!

The second way to take advantage of this marketing method is to simply use a flyer. Many coffee shops and cafes who will allow you to leave information only have bulletin board for display and no counter space. Instead of giving up on these potential hot spots, I encourage you to use a powerful marketing flyer. You can use pull marketing questions, address pain points clearly and promote ONE call to action. It’s equally effective to attract quality brides when the marketing message is clear.

This method works so well for a few reasons. If brides see your name everywhere they go, they can’t not call you. I’ve heard this countless times from brides who’ve hired us over the years. Also, like with all marketing, it’s truly a timing game. Brides will call you when it’s the right time FOR THEM and when THEY are in the right frame of mind to move forward. So, if you’re present consistently through your marketing to brides, when she is ready, you’re in!
