Brides: What it takes to look your best

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, so of course you want to look your absolute best. All it takes is a little preparation, and to help you out, here are some easy tips to keep in mind to help you look your best.

Dresses: Select a dress that enhances your figure and hides that which you don’t like. Be unique! Stay away from strapless dresses.

Veil: Take your veil off after formal images are done, this will create a second look and will reveal more clearly your hair do.

Make Up: On average a bride is photographed 400 times on her wedding day. You must look you very best. Professional makeup is a must.

Flowers: When you walk down the aisle, do you want your guest to look at you or at the flowers? Colorful flowers are beautiful, but flowers should accompany you, not be the center of attention.

Health: Being well hydrated will ensure you feel great and you look your best. Have plenty of bottled water available.

Smooth Flow: Involve your family and bridal party with mini tasks so they feel part of the day.

Elegance: Wear undergarments no matter your size. Your dress will sit and move more freely with this little help.

Practice: A few weeks prior to the big day, practice getting your hair done, make up, getting dress, with the veil. Then walk around and have a friend take a few candid pictures. This is a lot of fun, creates excitement, but most importantly it gives you a unique chance to see how long does it take to get ready, how long your hair stays up nicely and your make up look fresh and see first hand how you will look.

Focus: Lastly, keep in mind that the main objective of your wedding day is to get married and celebrate the love you feel for each other. The dresses, flowers, hair, shoes, food, etc. are just details.

These are just a few tips to think about before your big day. The most important thing to keep in mind is to have fun. As long as you are having fun and enjoying your day, your photos will show just how beautiful you are.
