Featured Massachusetts wedding photographers, Laurie & Caroline Hart of Back2Back Photography, recently captured the wedding day of Ashley and Derek. They got some amazing shots of the bride and groom at Fort Taber in New Bedford MA, out on a pier and at a disused air aide shelter, and also some cake smashing at the reception! They shared with us some details about the wedding and some of their favorite shots:
It was our privilege to photograph the wedding of Ashley and Derek, June 4th 2011, and what an emotion packed day it was filled with tears and laughter from the moment we arrived. Ashley and Derek’s ceremony took place in the resplendent Mount Carmel Church in New Bedford, MA. Afterwards their on location photography was taken at Fort Taber, also in New Bedford, which offers such diverse settings from the elegance of a pier to a disused air aide shelter. The newlyweds truly were floating on a cloud that day and their reception that followed at The Biltmore in Providence, RI started with a roof top cocktail hour and continued in the Grand Ballroom. When the couple took to the dance floor for their first dance it was as if no one else was in the room but the cake cutting was a different story and turned in to a fun packed cake smashing!
