“Having a good photographer was crucial to me and my husband. As soon as we had a wedding date and our venues, we started researching photographers. Based on online reviews and the quality of work, my husband and I interviewed three photographers. Michael at Michael Chadwick Photography was the clear winner for both of us. The quality of Mike’s work is clear. We looked at several different weddings he shot and appreciated the mix of detail shots, formal shots, candid shots – all crisp and artistically done. In addition to loving his pictures, Mike was such a pleasure to be with. We felt that he understood what we wanted to capture in our pictures, and he was a joy to be around. He has a calming presence and made us laugh. We had our engagement shoot about 6 months before the wedding. We loved the moments Mike was able to capture, and he was really fun to hang out with. I was thrilled when we got our pictures – they were absolutely beautiful. As our wedding approached we had lots of communication with Mike. I gave him a very detailed list of photos I wanted that day and instead of being offended that I was trying to hamper his artistic view, he welcomed the information. They worked tirelessly for about 12 hours that day and were always enthusiastic and focused. Having good wedding pictures is crucial in helping to preserve the memories of that day. “We hired Michael to be our wedding photographer for our wedding on June 9, 2012. We researched and met several other photographers when we were looking, but I had a good gut feeling about him when I was communicating back and forth via e-mail. We knew he was the right photographer for us when my husband and him bonded over movies, etc on our first meeting and I couldn’t get them to focus! lol He was always really friendly and professional. He responded back to e-mails and questions usually within minutes (faster than any other vendor!!!) which to any Bride planning her wedding we all know is extremely important. Especially if you are making decisions quickly that are based upon other aspects of the day. Originally we did not really want to do an engagement photo shoot because we weren’t really sure where we would use the photos, but he insisted and we were really happy we did. It really gave us some time before the wedding to get comfortable in front of the camera and be comfortable with Michael as well. We booked him for a full day with a second photographer. The 2nd photographer was also amazing. He was calm and friendly and always seemed to be taking photos from all different angles which is what we were really looking for. They both worked their butts off for us (our day started at 10am!) and were still going strong at 10pm. I couldn’t believe how they were not only still standing taking photo’s but still had smiles on their faces because they were having a great time doing it. Michael is a photographer because he truly loves taking photos, which is refreshing and amazing to see, and it shows in his photos. Unlike some other jaded wedding photographers, that show up, take the standard shots, and go home at exactly the minute after their hired time ends. If you’re looking for great photographs taken by a passionate and friendly photographer then Michael Chadwick Photography is your vendor! The prices are also really great, especially for the area. With the research we did, they came in at the most competitive price, and in my opinion with the best photographs.”

My husband and I had a fairly non-traditional wedding and despite some day-of changes (we were supposed to get married on the Wonder Wheel at Coney Island, Brooklyn but the fresh paint on the wheel hadn’t dried so we moved the ceremony to the boardwalk) Michael Chadwick handled everything with a smile and made me feel relaxed and confident. "After hearing so many horror stories from friends about their wedding photographers (not showing up, withholding photographs for more money etc.), I was more nervous about this process than any other wedding-related task. It turns out that I worried over nothing b/c Mike Chadwick was wonderful! He and his assistant showed up right on time and immediately put everyone at ease. Our wedding party is still talking about how funny and laid-back he is. All of the 600+ pictures he took of the day's events were so amazing that it was hard for us to pick only a few to put in our album. Mike really went above and beyond. At the end of the evening, rather than just jetting off, he made sure to stop and ask us if there were any other pictures we wanted him to get, and waited a good 1/2 hour after that just in case something came up. "Michael Chadwick had some really great packages that were more affordable than the other photographers we looked at. We were impressed by his previous work when we met with him and were comfortable with him so we booked him. Michael did our engagement photo shoot in Central Park and our wedding. Both sets of pictures came out great. He is really good at getting candid shots. It also helps that he is really tall so he can always get a good photo!! I love the photo slide show he created to me and my husband's favorite songs. He also hosts the photos on his website so your friends and family can order photos directly. Overall, we had a really wonderful experience working with Michael. I would highly recommend him. In fact, my best friend just booked him for her wedding!!"

"From the first meeting, my husband-to-be and I felt immediately comfortable trusting Michael with our wedding photography, arguably one of the most important elements of the day. He is confident and experienced, which put us at ease, but also extremely friendly and personable, and very willing to accommodate our wishes and needs. On the wedding day, Michael stayed extremely calm and professional throughout, even when others (e.g., me, the bride) were somewhat tense and frazzled. We ended up with a wide selection of wonderful shots, all conveniently posted on his website for viewing and purchasing and on our own CD. His price was very reasonable, and we particularly liked that you could customize your package options- we were able to add on a few hours to the basic package, which worked out very well. We also took advantage of his hair and makeup package for myself and the bridal party, and were extremely happy with the work of our stylist, Christie. "After meeting with several photographers we ultimately chose Michael and he was a great choice. He has a wide range of packages starting from $1000, and you can add different options (ie albums) later on as needed. He was nice to work with and not over bearing at all. We just received our pictures and everyone loved them. I was very happy with my decision to use Michael Chadwick Photography as my photographer at my wedding in Aug 2010. Mike is extremely pleasant to work with and very understanding of your own unique needs. He does not inflate his prices with a bunch of "extras" that you did not want or need. He is very flexible in customizing your package to get exactly what you want. Before, during and after the wedding he was very accessible in answering any question or concerns you had about you wedding photos. He is also very organized to make sure he gets all the photos that you want on your wedding day. On the day of the wedding Mike has a very relaxed approach to taking pictures. He a very good approach to getting you and your entire bridal party comfortable in front of the camera, so that your pictures (especially the posed ones) come out looking natural. The proof is definitely in the pictures. Just take a look at the pictures on his website and you will see how great he is at his job. "I spent some time looking for a photographer for my wedding that would fit within my budget, I had seen a couple of photographers before, but when I met Michael, and what a different experience that was. Michael is extremely professional and makes you feel very comfortable from the first day you meet you. No question was ever too big or too small. I ran into a problem at the last minute where the girl that was supposed to do my hair was not going to be able to do it after all and I spoke with Michael and he got me Christie three days before my wedding. Michael did my wedding on 9/6/09, he arrived as Christie was doing my hair and was with me until the last dance at my reception. All I can say is that he made my wedding day move so smoothly, he got so many pictures of people that they didn't even know they were taken a picture of and after the ceremony, he got the family/bridal pictures done as quickly as possible and everybody was still able to enjoy the cocktail hour. He took amazing pictures of the wedding party and all of the guests, he even went as far as answering and assisting some of my guest questions about their cameras. Everybody at my wedding had nothing but wonderful things to say about him, he is an extremely professional photographer and he makes you feel so comfortable, that it is like he is just one of your best friends that is there to make sure that everything goes right on this special day.
