Garth Brooks, 43, and Trisha Yearwood, 41, tied the knot on Saturday December 10th 2005. The private ceremony was held at their home with their immediate family in Oklahoma, where Garth was born.
Brooks first met Yearwood in the mid 80's in the music industry. On Brooks first headlining tour, Yearwood was the opening singer. Then, Brooks was the back vocal singer in Yearwoods debut-"Like We Never Had a Broken Heart". After that, Yearwood sang on most of Brooks releases. They both won a Grammy in 1997 for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals in "In Another's Eyes".

Brooks proposed to Yearwood in front of 7,000 fans at the Legends of Bronze Event. This event was held at Buck Owen's Crystal Palace, Bakersfield California. There were others honored that same night such as Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson.
Brooks was married one time before this, and this will be the third marriage for Yearwood. Brook originally married his college sweetheart Sandy Mahl in 2000 and has three children. Yearwoods ex's were Christopher Latham and Robert Reynolds, a musician.
Brooks latest album, Scarecrow, went triple platinum.
Yearwood was named female vocalist of the year by the Country Music Awards in 1997 and 1998. Jasper County is her latest album.
