Cheryl Crow and Lance Armstrong have announced their engagement on Monday September 5th. The legendary Texan cyclist and seven-time Tour De France winner, Lance Armstrong, met rock star Cheryl Crow in October 2003 at a charity event. Armstrong proposed to Crow on August 31 as the couple vacationed in Sun Valley Idaho.
Armstrong, 33-year-old cancer survivor, has three children from his first marriage, five-year-old Luke and twins Isabelle and Grace, three.
Armstrong decided to slow down after riding to a seventh Tour de France victory and into retirement earlier this summer.
Crow, 43, who has previously been romantically linked with Eric Clapton and actor Owen Wilson, has never been married. She hinted that she wanted to quit her rock career and settle down and have children with Armstrong.
No wedding date has been set, although they said it could be a spring wedding.
Armstrong donated $500,000 to assist the victims of Hurricane Katrina just last week.
